About Hearts Towards Allah

Hearts Towards Allah – The Journey of Inner Submission

In a world filled with noise, distractions, and constant striving for worldly gains, there is a call that echoes in the hearts of the believers—a divine call, gentle yet powerful, that says: “Return to your Lord.” This is the journey of every soul that desires to draw closer to Allah, the One who created hearts and knows their every secret.

1. The Nature of the Heart in Islam

In Islam, the heart (Qalb) is not just a physical organ but a spiritual center. It is the place where Iman (faith) resides, where Tawakkul (trust) is nurtured, and where the flame of Taqwa (God-consciousness) is kindled. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

> “There is a piece of flesh in the body, and if it is sound, the whole body is sound. If it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. That piece is the heart.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

Thus, tending to the heart is not an option, but a duty of every believer.

2. The Illness of the Heart

Modern life often fills the heart with rust: arrogance, jealousy, heedlessness, and excessive attachment to the dunya (world). These are illnesses that can only be healed by turning back to Allah. As the Qur’an says:

> “No! But on their hearts is the stain of that which they used to earn.”

(Surah Al-Mutaffifin 83:14)

To bring the heart back to life, one must remember Allah frequently, perform sincere repentance (Tawbah), and seek knowledge that purifies the soul.

3. Softening the Heart – Steps to Turn Towards Allah

Here are practical steps to help guide hearts towards Allah:

Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah): Just as water revives a dying plant, Dhikr revives the dying heart.

Qur’an Recitation: The Word of Allah is a light that enters the heart. Reflecting on it brings peace.

Sincere Du’a: Pouring your emotions to Allah brings comfort and connection.

Salat (Prayer): The five daily prayers are appointments with the Divine—missed by many, but priceless for those who realize their worth.

Company of the Righteous: Hearts are influenced. Choose those who remind you of Allah.

4. Signs That Your Heart is Moving Closer to Allah

You find peace in remembrance of Allah.

Sins begin to disturb your conscience.

You cry during prayer or Qur’an recitation.

You desire knowledge and closeness to the righteous.

Your dua becomes deeper and more heartfelt.

> “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”

(Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:28)

 5. A Heart Fully Surrendered

The ultimate goal is not perfection, but sincere striving. A heart towards Allah doesn’t mean a life without mistakes—it means a life of always returning, always repenting, always loving the One who never turns away.

Let your blog, "Hearts Towards Allah", be a place where such hearts meet, heal, and grow.

Every heartbeat is a reminder that you’re alive by Allah’s mercy. Let each beat draw you closer—not to the world, but to your Creator.

> “And whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running.” (Hadith Qudsi)
